Study: a glass of beer a day makes the brain age two years.

An international team of scientists analyzed MRI images of the brains of 36,678 healthy Britons aged 40-69 and compared the data with the information regarding the amount of alcohol they consumed daily. It turned out that even moderate doses of alcohol provoke structural changes in the white and gray matter.
Scientists' conclusions are the more people drink, the more the brain suffers - each extra serving of alcohol can affect health more seriously than the previous ones. Drinking a pint of beer (568 milliliters) or a glass of wine (177 milliliters) every day is equivalent to two years of age for the brain.

If you drink 250 milliliters of wine a day, your brain will appear 3.5 years older. If you drink about half a bottle a day - then for ten years.
